“Archer Messenger is as good as it gets and we would recommend them without hesitation. Knowing photos were one of our top priorities, we began the search for the perfect photographer. After a lot of research we found Archer Messenger & their authentic photojournalism approach caught our eye. Our first chat lasted 45 minutes & we just clicked. It was obvious Chris’s passion matched his talent & we knew we had our photographer.

It was important to us that we had a photographer that meshed with our personality and day. After all, having a stranger be a part of one of the most important days of your life is a pretty big deal. Chris was no stranger. It almost felt like he was family.

He brought a lot of knowledge and helped us with our schedule, guided us on what to expect, and approached the experience with flexibility and confidence. Chris is enthusiastic, professional, calming, and creative. He doesn’t force awkward situations and was somehow able to capture a groom who doesn’t think he can smile. So many of our guests came up to us and told us how much they loved our photographer. Chris’s personality and craft added so much to the experience of our day. Once we got our photos, all of our expectations were exceeded. They were absolutely perfect. He captured what actually happened, with no forced poses or smiles.

Friends and family have been asking us which photo is our favorite. The truth is we can’t pick just one favorite. He did such a great job of capturing the full day. We will be reliving these moments for a lifetime!

untitled (69 of 149)“Amy and Chris did more than just capture beautiful photographs of us on our wedding day.  Their guidance and support helped us both relax and be fully present in the experience. They have a wonderful mix of professionalism and warmth that put us at ease in front of the camera, and their keen eyes for light, setting and personal dynamics created gorgeous pictures that feel sincere and spontaneous rather than forced. Plenty of photographers could have given us mementos of what our wedding day looked like, but the photos that Chris and Amy took communicate what it felt like to be together in such a beautiful place, surrounded by the people that we love.   We are so grateful to have worked with them!”

“My husband and I were married this past Summer, near to his home town of Butte, in Ennis, MT. Planning our wedding from our home in Ohio made identifying the right vendors somewhat intimidating. Through a rather serendipitous series of handoffs we were introduced to Amy and Christopher and Archer Messenger Photography. We immediately felt so lucky! Their genuine warmth as people and their excitement at capturing life in the raw was very apparent from their first email.

While we initially had considered spending less on wedding photography, we could not be more pleased that we decided to dedicate more of our budget to photographs by Amy and Chris. Not only are they very thoughtful and talented photographers, but Amy and Chris so clearly enjoyed the moments of our wedding with us that we were completely comfortable, as were our guests. They were helpful and generous and fun and as the mother of the groom remarked “they were totally tuned in.”  The amazing memories of our wedding will always live on in our minds but it sure is unbelievable to have the chance to relive them so beautifully in print. ”

“Our experience with Archer Messenger was nothing less than magical.  Not only did we have the time of our lives shooting with them but we also got absolutely stellar engagement photos. We felt so comfortable romping through the snowy forests of Idaho with them it felt like we had known each other for years. Funny, engaging as a couple, and creative to boot, we would have them shoot our pictures again in a heartbeat.”

the Brown family (109 of 140)“The day the Messengers photographed our family was such a good day.  Chris and Amy came for lunch. They were so interested in us and our home, and they bravely and playfully got close to us, sometimes just visiting, sometimes holding up a camera.  We felt safe with them, and their enthusiasm and joy were contagious. The pictures were all we hoped they would be: our family, as we are together, feeling close to each other and loving life together. Even though we take lots of pictures of our kids, we don’t have a lot of pictures over the years with us all in the photo together.  And it is wonderful to look back over all the pictures from that day and see what our family looks like from the perspective of the Chris & Amy.”

It was important for us to capture our wedding day in a unique, stress-free way that showed the true beauty of a Montana wedding in July. From the moment we met Chris and Amy, we had the most amazing feeling about capturing our special day.  They were actually interested in how we met, what our future plans are, etc. It was uplifting to know that they actually had a genuine concern for us, and did not view us as another client.  I have never had a photographer who cared so much about having us just be ourselves. They do not set up traditional “posing” pictures that can be annoying;  they create the most unique and beautiful shots without adding the pressure and stress of traditional photography.  Chris and Amy are the most professional, unique, and skillful photographers that I have ever seen. On top of being extremely talented at what they do, they are down to earth, fun people. I would not recommend any other photography business besides Archer Messenger.
